new blogger, youtube, tornados, and tv shows.

First of all, I should apologize for not posting a DISCLAIMER on my last entry. I looked horrid, no makeup, wild hair, crazy attire, and you weren't even warned. Welcome to my life. Oops. So, sorry - better late than never, right? On the other hand, maybe I shouldn't have apologize because that's me on a fairly regular basis. Hm...

Okay. Whatever. Onward.

I have been trying to convince a young grasshopper that I know, also one of my best friends, to enter the blogging world. She & I read an UNREAL amount of blogs on a daily basis, and while I've been blogging around 4 years, she has resisted the pressure that I've put on her. That is, ...until now!! So, without further words on this small upgrade in the world -- go check out Hollie's blog! Leave her an encouraging comment! ;)

If you are wondering about all these random photos of the country, these were taken the day after the tornado I mentioned in my 2010 Recap, and I forgot I had taken them. Oops!
I really didn't even capture the seriousness of the storms repercussions. In some places it was completely devastating to see.
The sky (on the other hand) was phenomenal on Saturday. I "forced" Megan to ride around with me while I harassed the damaged areas that had been affected (effected??) by the storm. *THANKS, BEST FRIEND!! =)

I used to be really firm in the belief that Google could answer all of my questions about anything! I still believe that it provides helpful information, and I am ALWAYS googling something (which usually leads to me Amazon-ing it), but lately I have been investigating products, movies, books, etc, on YOUTUBE. I love hearing other peoples opinions on things, and that makes it really easy.

Is anyone watching the Bachelor? I'm not sure how I feel about Brad, but I will say that my favorite girl is Emily. She is so genuine & sweet, but Brad seems a tad bit sketchy to me. The way he says "Hello" bothers me too, and he always acts OVERLY concerned about each girl. I don't know. Maybe it's too early for me to form a true opinion, but as of right now - I think he's putting on a show. He SEEMS to be sincere, but I kind of feel like he's trying too hard to BE sincere & it's resulting in ... fake.
In that same sense, I think these girls should chill out over the fact that he didn't pick anyone on the last season he had because 1.) at least he has some boundaries for himself 2.) everyone has made mistakes of their own in the past; they just may not be publicly displayed on tv. tres.) that's 3 in Spanish. Only one person will understand that, and they will more than likely never read this.
And why am I concerned about Brad the Bachelor? Because I have nothing else to be concerned about tonight. Really.

Class resumes tomorrow at 11. I will be the first to say that one day & a half of a morning out of school spoiled me; especially considering the fact that we JUST started back to class last Wednesday, and it wouldn't even qualify as a TRUE class period. Except for Bio2, but that was to be expected.

Last - but MOST definitely not least .. My main man Garth has been serenading me at home during this "snowed in" holiday we've had for the last few days. I fell asleep with his playlist going on my computer last night, and when I woke up this morning I had a sudden urge to dance. That's totally normal at 9am, right? Well, when you listen to Garth -- anything is possible. :)

Have a good night and drive safe tomorrow!

30 Day Blog Challenge: Day Eleven!

WOW! Thanks for all of your positive feedback! =) I love hearing from all of you, and I am really enjoying the challenge!

Day Eleven: Favorite TV Shows.....

I didn't realize how many tv shows I watch on a regular basis (well, Ti-Vo, ahem..) until I was trying to get photos for this. Without further a-due...

AGH! Just found out a few weeks back that there WILL be a new season, and I am so excited!
I didn't watch the first season on tv, but I watched it on Netflix & then started the second season on tv. Love it! Love it! Love it!

ohhhhh, my favorite!! I have loved it since day ONE. It's gone towards the way-side in the last few seasons, but i love it. It's not all "medical" the entire time. The relationship drama & humor cracks me up.

HUGE fan! Meg enlightened me about this show, and I spent almost a whole summer watching the seasons I had missed...unfortunately Peyton & Lucas are gone, and they (well, Peyton) was my favorite. I could really relate to her.

I love this show, but I don't watch it as much as I'd like to. Any show about dessert has my attention, though (hahaha..) Love "Unwrapped" and "Top Chef: Desserts" too!

I have lost track of this one. Is it still coming on? I watched the seasons on Netflix, and then I never heard anything else about it. The plot behind this one is great!

Let's be honest, who hasn't watched (and loved .. and laughed at) an episode of The Golden Girls?
Classic.

These people are so sweet! The stories are heartbreaking, but they can really assist in helping people out.   Love it.

I started watching the show (weekly) the year that Adam Lambert won it, and I'll go ahead & tell you - he did not have my vote. That, of course, is beside the point. It's a little hard to get into at first because some "characters" come to audition! Towards the end I am on the edge of my seat hoping that my "favorite" doesn't get voted off.
Sidenote: My 2nd favorite won this year. Casey James, I still think you're flawless.

This summer was my first "shark week" experience.
Neat-o Band-e-to.

Annnd Oprah.
I Ti-Vo her because she airs at a bad time for me, so I usually watch re-runs when I should probably be doing homework or something productive (like figuring out what I want to do with my life), but instead I watch Oprah. Seems like a pretty good equilibrium.

I've heard a lot about "Criminal Minds" and occasionally watch "NCIS" with my Daddy. Mom's a big fan of "Brothers & Sisters" and "The Good Wife", but I haven't gotten into any of them. Please don't mention CSI. I can't even keep up with them anymore.. CSI: Miami... CSI: New York... CSI: Macon... (kidding)

POLL: what are your favorite shows??

you can't keep me low..

What TV character can you relate to the most?

Oh boy. There are several. Which ones should I use? --we'll say Merideth Grey & Peyton Sawyer.

Merideth. She worries. She fears for her future & settlin down, she wants the best for people, and her thoughts are in depth. She is strong willed & determined. She's a fighter, especially when it comes to what she believes. She is an emotional person, but she barely shows it, she's the kind of person who never cries, and when she does, it's so rare that it tends to make other people cry. Her views on life are close to mine in a lot of ways, believe it or not.

Peyton. Can't help who she's in love with, she can see through someones imperfections, and love a person for who they really are. She expresses herself through her art & expects a lot out of herself. She listens, especially to a friend when they're in need. Music keeps her sane & she hates dresses. She's dealt with a lot in life, and it's made her who she's become. She also cries, only rarely, just as Merideth, and it tends to make other people emotional. She bottles up a lot of her feelings, then aain, she speaks her mind.

I don't know who you'd say I'd relate to more, and those are just my opinion. (:
