30 Day Blog Challenge: Day Eighteen!

Day Eighteen: Dream Wedding...

as if I didn't go crazy enough with the whole "dream house" thing...

okay, here goes!

(by the way, it is ONE am, and I am doing all of this off of the top of my head. It is subject to change!

Here we go!

I would probably do a "save the date" because you can list your wedding date in the paper & all four surrounding states will know. Plus, i'm pretty sure that I will end up calling EVERYone I know when "The One" asks me to marry him. Ha!

I don't know where this is, but it is the ideal setting for me. If that tree was a willow, I would be googling for reservations and booking now (which is clearly impossible). I do love that look, but more than likely I will have a church wedding. I worry too much to have an outside one.

reception area would be laid back & fun! I want to dance at my wedding, for sure, so the floor would be the centerpiece of the set up.

I like this sort of set up for the table. I don't really like the fruit in the centerpiece, and I'd rather it be tal opposed to fat, but overall I like the concept.

HOW COOL IS THAT CAKE!?! With a BIG 'ole last name letter on the top where the bird looks like he's guarding it? Yep. Love. Love. l.o.v.e.

bridesmaid dresses would be either blue (to match that table cloth above) or that purple color. ..maybe green?
I like all those styles except for that blue style on the right. I can handle the others.
their bouqets would probably similar to this, but that purple would probably be lilies instead, and there would be a hint of peacock feather in there.

the men's boutonniere. (not sure about their tux's, but to me that really isn't important. Probably black with whatever color tie to math the bridesmaids)

the ring.
I may not even have a say in this, but if I did I would want a vintage set ring with an engraved inside. I want the engraving to say, "Phil. 1:3". I also want that same engraving to go on the husband's band. I honestly wasn't paying attention to the "carrots" or whatever.. It does NOT matter to me, and I mean that in the most serious way. Love isn't shown through the cost of a ring, but that is merely my opinion.

can't decide between this one....

or this one.....

and this one.....
i love them all. Antique/vintage is my favorite look because I think it is timeless (have I stated that before? ...heh) Of the three, the last one is probably my favorite, but I am a visual person, so I would have to see it on.

annnd this would be my bouquet, or something like it. It is WAY green, so maybe some purple dashed in there in a few places.

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue:

Old, new, and borrowed will depend.
I will wear blue shoes. Probably TOMS.

Sidenote: Purple is my current fave color, so this is probably a phase.

Songs will include....

Father/Daughter Dance:

- Cinderella - Steven Curtis Chapman
(or)
- Butterfly Kisses - Bob Carlisle

First Dance:

- Feels Like Home - Chantel Kreviasuk
(or)
Heaven - Bryan Adams

My wedding will more than likely be a "dream" anyway. I could get married on the tailgate of a pick up truck with a t-shirt & boots on, and as long as I'm with the person that God made for me, I know it will be a special day. Can't wait to see what the future holds! ;)

30 Day Blog Challenge: Day Seventeen!

Day Seventeen: Something you're looking forward to....

Let's see...

first of all, I am looking forward to leavinf for Montana in 16 days!! I cannot believe it is that close! It seems like yesterday I was leaving class crying ALL the way home thinking that I wouldn't be able to go due to class. So thankful for my daddy working that out! I'm really excited about making the memories up there, and getting to see that side of the US because I haven't before. It will be freezing, but I have all ready started packing up all of my warm clothes. I'm just really thrilled that I'm getting this opportunity, and I'm so thankful for my parents who made it possible! There's nothing that i'd rather be doing this time of year other than HUNT! ..and drink coffee =)

I'm looking forward to Christmas because I LOVE shopping for my friends & family. I always get WAY too excited about us buying socks for each other or having our little "Christmas" parties. We have gotten really good about throwing parties for each other and making refreshments, and Christmastime just makes it that much more fun! I'm also looking forward to the time I will get to spend with MY family! It's always a blessing to be in the kitchen with Mom, Mimi, & Nannie a few days before Christmas.

I know it will come quicker than I'd like for it to, and there will probably be times when I had wished that I hadn't "wished it to be here", but I am looking forward to next semester. I just feel like I'm going to enjoy a few classes that I'll be taking! (I will PROBABLY eat my words on that one!)
Sidenote: Does that crazy-red-head resemble anyone that looks familiar to ya'll? Ha!

I am currently looking forward to this weekend with these girls:
-roadtrip
-ball game
- live band
-memories

30 Day Blog Challenge: Day Sixteen!

Day Sixteen: Dream House....

Ohhh, I am excited about this post. I really haven't ever sat down & checked out floor plans for a house. I usually just see things and say, "ohh.. one day.. one day.." ha! So, this is my "off the top of my head" dream house.

Please take *dream* to the fullest extent possible because unless I marry a brain surgeon or a gold minor,  this will be highly impossible!

Enjoy! And I really have been loving ya'lls comments lately!
Specail shouts to the faithful ones:

-Mrs. Karen
-Stacey
-Hollie
-Laura

Ok, back on track. . .

Love this layout. I am a sucker for a "wrap around" porch. I'm not crazy about the siding, but if it HAD to be green, then the roof would probably be tin. I really love a tin roof, too, but I don't forsee that looking decent on this house. Maybe just on the porch part? Oh, and over in that right corner there would be a swing. I love to swing. =)

this would be my view. That is a willow tree overlooking a lake. I want a willow (or 8) in my yard. They're so beautiful! Definitely my favorite tree. A pier would be nice too...with a gazebo.

Skipping inside to the Master bedroom. I want it to be a deep red with furniture/doors the same as what's pictured. I want a wooden fireplace, though. I like the high ceilings with the beams. I love beams.

Kitchen area is also wide. I don't like to feel cramped. There is one problem with this kitchen (other than the random tin of flowers. What if your peas were burning and you were admiring your China collection -- clearly the "random tin of flowers" would be in the way of your mad dash) ..ahem, anyway! The window over the sink. Too small!

Ahhh... that's more like it. Except I would like for it to be set up a little higher than the countertops where I could put some pot plants in the seal. And my kids Chia Pets.

Bathroom! Not sure I agree with the wood colors (i'm more of a mahogany or cherry wood person), but I like the layout. I would want the counters to stand on either side of the window shown below.

Have I mentioned that I want this house to be in the middle of no where so these windows would be okay ;) How neat would that be on a clear night with no street lights around? Can someone say STARS? Amen.

Again, not sure about the colors, but we're just looking at layout. Love the top of the wall here. I would probably only want one set of french doors (leading out to my patio/goldfish oasis) And i wouldn't want ANY of that furniture...except for maybe... ah, nope. None of it.

"Breakfast room" would be in the kitchen (so if you're looking at the kitchen photo, whoever took it was standing in my breakfast room) Sidenote: the "breakfast room" would also be the "lunch" room and "supper" room. There ya have it! Saved ya'll three photos of tables and chairs!
I'm sure a "formal" dining room would be part of the deal as well, but I grew up without one, and none of us are emotionally harmed from it. ;)

Now.... on to.....

baby room! ..This would actually be a boys room. (of course it would NOT be pink, dur!) More than likely it would be a hunter green/earth green color above the wood)

Girls room. HOW PRECIOUS! Omg. I would never let her paint it. Ever.
Hate that crib, but we'll get to that.

I mean, really? Look at that tree!

I can't get over how stinkin' cute this is! Really love that chest of drawers, but I'm not so crazy about that side table. I would probably just put a tall (vintage, of course) lamp stand & a cushioned rocking chair in that corner. I am IN love with that mirror, though. Not kidding. Not even a little bit. This room is presh.

This would probably be the crib for both munchkins. Maybe. It looks like it may blend with the boys room, but I love it anyway. It is so timeless.

Boys furniture. (see blending comment above)

Now, this caught my eye. If it really was my "dream house" I would have a room for myself. A room where I could paint, draw, write, read, chill... and more than likely it would be in that "curvy/dome" whatever that is in the middle of the house on the first photo. I would enjoy the windows being all the way around it.
I love that vintage look. I could decorate my entire house that way, but if i was going to do that then I should just save some money and live in a school bus. Ha! I really do love this couch though. It's just unique.

annnd this, my friends, is my outside "oasis" complete with a goldfish pond. i would probably fill it with plants that didn't require a lot of attention and pottery like the piece that made the waterfall in the right corner. I would put a little wrought iron table & chairs out there, too.

Now, I know that all those windows would mean a HIGH electric bill for heating & cooling...but, I wouldn't have to use a whole lot of lighting. =) There are pros & cons to these matters in life.
I was dreaming big while "Googling" today.

30 Day Blog Challenge: Day Fourteen!

Day Fourteen: What do you want to be when you "grow up"...

Such a broad topic for me right now. I have been struggling recently with a profession although I know that God knows the Ultimate Plan.
From the time I was [probably] a freshman in high school until about 2 weeks ago, I had my mind set on xray technology. I wanted to specialize, but I wasn't sure about WHERE in the field I wanted to specialize.

As of recently, I've realized that the jobs in that area aren't as demanding as they used to be even a few years ago due to people going into it "excessively" because it IS in the medical field, and it IS a quick program.

That IS part of the reason I had decided to do it, and the other reason has to do with the impact the tech's have had on me in an x-ray room. They all seem to really enjoy their job! I remember the day I "decided" that was what I wanted to do. I came out from an xray, and I told my mom.. "I think I figured it out."

...Now, I have changed my path. I wouldn't say i've completely changed it, but it is definitely NOT xrays!

As

of

this

week

.......

I am changing my major to....

SPEECH PATHOLOGY.

I am so thrilled about figuring something out, but I also know that God can change my direction at any point in time.

Many people can't understand why Photography wouldn't be in my mind for a profession. I will say that it has crossed my mind, but I am learning (and have learned) that it isn't always the greatest idea to incorporate a hobby with a job. I mainly learned this through "art" and it sometimes causes me to be uninspired when I see a blank sheet of paper and a sharpie laying around.
I would NEVER want a job to interfere with my love for photography. It is my way of dealing with things sometimes. It calms me, and it takes my mind off of things. I only need that once or twice a week
-- not every single day.

Does that make sense? I just rambled this entire post. The thing is, I still want to be able to do my photography "on the side" I just don't want to make it a job setting. I have been offered so many opportunities in this field, and I look forward to what God has in store for me.

...sidenote: I feel like this was totally pointless, and I have left you more confused than before you clicked my link. Excuse me.

30 Day Blog Challenge: Day Twelve!

Day Twelve: My Bucket List...

Is it too young to have one? I find myself saying, "Oh, I want to do that before I die." So, I finally just started writing it down!
This, of course, is in no specific order; I will take the opportunity to do these things whenever I'm allowed the chance.

- kill a moose in Alaska
- see concentration camps in Germany
- publish a photo in a magazine (one has been in a newsletter; not quite a magazine)
- write a book (preferably about hunting, ha!)
- photograph the Angel Oak trees in Charleston, SC.
- give back to soldiers through photography (still figuring this one out...)
- go to a restaurant & eat dessert first.
- meet Michael Waddell (he hunts for Realtree Outdoors, ha!)
- see the Eli Young Band in concert!!
- see Zac Brown Band in concert!!
- go to Hershey, Pennsylvania.
- see The Lion King on Broadway
- capture a photo of lightening.
- climb a water tower.

& the only thing I have "accomplished/done" on my bucket list is:
- win/place in a photo contest.
BUT.. hunting in Milk River, Montana is also on that list, and Lord willing, i'm leaving in 23 days!!!

Seems like a lot, I know. A girl can dream though, right?

=)

Sidenote: Really nervous about tomorrow nights football game! The two high-school rival, undefeated teams battle it out away from their home turf. Ugh, I feel a little sick thinking about it!

GOOO VIKINGS!!
