cookie catastrophe.

i enjoy baking. i don't get to very often because it's so easy to pop in the "break & bake" onto a pan, bake for nine minutes, and devour. BUT, as i promised, i was going to bake this weekend.

i mixed it all before going fishing, and i was going to refrigerate it until i came home, and bake them before leaving for church.

(insert stupidity) i knew it'd be a awful great idea to use wax paper to put on the pan so that my cookies wouldn't be too brown on the bottom.

not a good idea.

can you see the wax paper bubbling? that's when i began having my twinge of uncertainty.
& sure enough, when i took them out, they didn't smell delicious, look delicious, OR taste delicious.
So, i threw those out, and tried again (with no wax paper)

those don't look normal either, do they?!

threw those out too!

and what would any aggravated baker do? resort.

and i baked them.

and this was all the dough that was left.

because against the rules, I ate some dough, baked the rest.

:) that's all.
have you had a cooking catastrophe?
